Working at the AC is more than just a paid campus job – it is joining a campus community where you can meet other friendly, motivated and personable students involved in all parts of USC. Outside of the office, our student staff members like to attend events together – everything from local hikes around L.A. to campus festivities – and that close camaraderie between our staff truly makes the AC community a family within the Trojan Family. Here are some thoughts from current students about the tight-knit community that makes up the Admission Center:

The Admission Center has provided me with amazing friends as well as a level of confidence and professionalism I did not possess when I first joined the AC. Working here means I get to share why I love USC for reasons not listed on our website or in our brochures. It is because of the Admission Center that I understand the importance of an enjoyable work environment. I hope to work with people just as incredible as those in the AC once I graduate. – Natasha Hunter, Class of 2020, Major: Business Administration; Minors: Dance and Culture; Media and Entertainment

To put it simply, I so desperately wanted to be a part of something bigger than me. Back in high school, I had such a strong sense of family through my school’s speech and debate program, so having to let that go for college left me feeling empty. I was scared that with a place as large as USC, I wasn’t going to be able to find a new place to call mine. Luckily, this office has been more than a job for me. Not only do I appreciate the professional skills I have gained through this position, but the friendships and memories I have created along the way are beyond anything I could have ever asked for. To be a part of such a pivotal moment for prospective students while also solidifying my own sense of home was something I couldn’t say no to. – Isaac Lemus, Class of 2020, Major: Urban Studies and Planning; Minors: Architecture, Spanish, Music Production
