On behalf of the 2017 recruitment team, thank you for considering the Admission Center as a potential employer. We are very excited to get to know each and every one of you through the hiring process. You will soon learn that this office is so much more than a job. This is a family, a home, a support group, and an educational opportunity. We understand that the application process is quite lengthy and involved, however we promise each step in the process will help us get to know you, and allow you to learn more about the Admission Center.
Going into my third year as an admission ambassador, I still remember filling out my application as a freshman. I was simply looking for a job and did not know I would find a family as well. I applied as a nervous freshman with little knowledge about the office I was hoping to join, or the greater university outside of my own major.
However, the Admission Center has become my home and my coworkers have become my own little Trojan Family within the university. This job has been extremely rewarding for me and I feel lucky to work with high school students and their families throughout the college application process.
This office is full of rich diversity in our backgrounds, majors, experiences and interests. Through the recruitment process, we are looking for students that are motivated, passionate and excited about the university. As you work through the application, don’t worry about “fitting in” with the office. Instead, focus on what you can bring to the office that is different or new. We like to say that this is one of the only jobs on campus in which you get hired to be yourself!
If you have any questions or concerns throughout the recruiting process, please feel free to reach out to me personally or anyone from our team. You can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by our office in the Ronald Tutor Campus Center. I am looking forward to getting to know you!
